Stranded

Stranded

On the surface ‘Stranded’ explore the common and rather insignificant relation between colours. Given time, the set proves to explore and examine far deeper relation – that between the viewer and the artistic proposition.

A viewer instinctively rejects the version – or versions – he or she dislikes and does not associate him/herself with it, thus making a decision (conscious or otherwise). In fact, faced with those images, the viewer is far less in control and made to make the decision.

What should follow – but seldom does – is a more conscious pursuit of the answer to ‘why exactly do I prefer this colour / those colours’ than the others’, which in turn, might lead to wider self-understanding.
